T-Rex is huge, you wouldn't like it with what you described. Go with a 228 or Torquer V2, nice cams. Texas Speed has a great selection of cams

The T Rex is as big a cam that will fit in a stock LS1. DD I'd go with a 224-228 cam.

if you want something with mild street manners but you also want something that sounds very obviously not stock (like a TRex lol) then get a gm hot cam. it comes with LS6 springs and is very tame with an agressive sound

TR224 is a great cam, don't go any lower then that. Personally I would go with a 228 cam for your needs perfect DD cam. Diss that SLP MAF before tuning also

I disagree. Hotcam sucks. No reason to go with that over a 224.

I had a 224 cam, daily drove it no problem, had decent power but wanted more, Now I have a torquer 2 cam 232 234 duration, I daily drive this cam with a 3600 converter 3.73 gears and I still manage 22 on the highway. The tv.2 cam has great power...get it

performance wise I completely agree. I only suggested it because he basically said he wanted something that sounded mean but really was still mild (performance wise). the hotcam fits that description perfectly. I would personaly never run it

stock MAF is good for over 500 RWHP. The SLP has been known to cause issues and can be aq bitch to tune, for your app it's not necessary.

Stay with Texas Speed don't go anywhere near Thunder Racing or you'll be waiting forever for parts. I ordered gears from them with a install kit and oil and cover since I had a credit from the last part they shipped me after a 2 month wait and it wasn't even the right part. So I needed gears and that whole setup was a decent deal and I wanted to used the credit. Here's the story got the gears in one shipment, the following weak the install kit and fluids, and 2 weeks later a cover. How's that for great service and it took like 4 days to get the gears and there not that far from me I'm in TA there in LA. I could drive there and back in one day. I get faster shipment from ws6 store and their several states away, better customer service, and have never received a wrong part yet and I built my whole car with just parts from them and a used LS6 from a local shop and a Volant from EBAy. Next it's Texas Speed since they have a good selection of cams and a nice deal if you get the cam package with all install parts.

I've ordered from Thunder many times without issue. Texas Speed will work also tho.
