VVT ls1,ls2? 427 maybe?
Just wondering what all would you need to add vvt to an Ls7 or any other ls short block.

Another cam
Or electronically controlled valves so you would eliminate the need for a cam

Well In the High performance mag. There was articles about Mastmotorsports making vvt engines that had about the same hp as non vvt. So i thought about mpg.

Ok so I was serious...I've been looking for a 427(4.125) with vvt. I was thinking to get a forged short block ls7 or lsx, Mast 13 deg ls3 heads, mast m-90 controller, and an ls9 or E-force R2300. I thought maybe Mast motor sports can sell me a vvt kit with cam. Yes? no? I just want ideas... opinions

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
it is dumb ..mind you the tuning involved would be immense....dont add vtt to your car....seriously ... it didnt come with it so dont muck it up
why not use the ls7 heads..as they are 12 degree and extremely good heads.and probably cheaper than mast's ls3 heads...i dont know why you have such a love affair with mast..but there are better deals to be had.
id do the math..becuase i bet the amount of money you spend on a vtt unit will be more than the amount of money you would save with the "increased mileage"

I have a little more than half right now...But I'm still considering my options. Wouldn't a speed shop cost about the same to build me a turnkey and install it and tune it and every thing? I can just get this engine and drop it my self since the ecm is already tuned to the engine.

haha ZR1 yeah i can prolly afford the payments. Not sure if my credit will go that far. The ls9 crate without ecm is like 14,k and the whole swap thing is just complicated I would have to get adapters or swap out the ecm and wiring harness. For 18k comes withdrive by wire ecm sensors and a 635 horse DD. I'm still shopping and i wanna keep my car TA's look the best to me, kind of my dream car.

Hightech wrote about putting it in a 4th gen camaro they had to use the ls3 harness and a different fuel system. They also lowered the mounts for hood clearance. I am going to sell one of my properties haha 25k
