    v2 cam question

Ok I've been doing some reserch on this v2 cam, the best I can tell it's made by Comp Cams and it's grind specs on the Comp site shows a different rpm range than the range given on Texas speeds site. I've read alot of good remarks on this cam but is this cam going to surge in a m6 car in 6th gear going down the hwy.? if so I don't want it.

you might buck alittle bucking at low rpms with stock gears, but if I'm correct the v2 likes steeper gears....that should raise your cruising rpms enough to minimize bucking/surging

im thinking about the torquer v.2. im also thinking about a 113 lsa on it. i think that will be the best of both worlds for me. will i be able to get away with 3.73's with the 113 or even keep the stock 3.42's until i get a locker and then i'll go steeper with it?

i like a more "stealthy" sound. not too choppy but not too smooth. there is gonna be nothing stealthy about a cam, lt's and a loudmouth for me.

Every mofo and their mother is getting the V2 it seems. Looks like mine is coming out for something bigger or something else is going to happen because I don't want the same cam as 99.9% of people

It's the new 224R. Since some people had the balls to try something new, and now that good results are being shown, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

Its because everyone wants that magic dyno number 400+ and you sir are correct with your statment. I'm going to start looking into a different cam anyway, just not a fan of large groups

i havn't had any issues with my car on the high way the only time i get a surge is a take off when i dont give it just what it wants.

OP, the only time I have cam surge with mine (M6 with stock gears) is when I'm going real slow, low RPM's in 1st and 2nd. 6th gear I have no problems what so ever, no bucking or anything. Great cam, just everyone seems to be getting this cam. But it does make great power
