tune for PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L CNC Ported milled..

Just finished up putting a set of PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L CNC Ported Heads, cut down .030 on my all ready tuned full bolt on 228r cammed ls1, the car had a tune for the bolt ons and the cam. My question is do I have to have the car tuned right away or can I wait?
I think I will need (or like) a bigger intake / throttle body in the future. Car currently has a ls6 intake and stock ported throttle body.
I don’t want to have to pay to have the car tuned twice. Once know with just the new heads and lifters and again if I decide to install say a fast 90 set up.
Thanks as always for the help.

It would not be wise to run heads ported that much without a tune imo. Why risk your engine when you can get a mail order tune for $150 to accommodate that and when you do the FAST you can then get a dynotune. This way you aren't paying for a dynotune twice but aren't running the engine untuned.

personally I would get it tuned......the heads will make a pretty large difference and you'll also want to make sure you're not getting detonation. The 98's have a pretty aggressive timing table to begin with. I run those same heads unmilled along with that same cam.
