Trunion upgrade or not
Im building a set of 243s, everything will be aftermarket, springs, valves, rockers, etc....
I've heard lots of horror stories about needle bearing disasters, so I'm looking at the Comp Cams trunion kit
What do yall think?

"Lighter Valvetrain"...less power is lost in the valvetrain, because it is easier to move.
I run stock rockers with the Trunion Upgrade in both of my cars.

only part that sucks, is that I dont know what any of the aftermarket rocker arms come with, it'd be a bitch if my aftermarket ones CAME with ball bearing trunions, etc...and then i wasted the money on an upgrade set

well i don't own any of them yet, just the bare heads, i will probably be doing aftermarket, I've heard the stock ones are actually pretty good, but I don't want needle bearings....Stock rockers plus this kit WOULD be an option

you've heard right the stockers are lighter than most aftermarket rockers and are pretty strong themselves minus the needle bearing I say get the trunion kit, save a little bit of cash by doing so, and rev to whatever rpms reliably!
