could be..or could be a piss poor tune. as a good tuner should be able to take care of surging in just about every cam.

Took my car to another local tuner who specializes in mustangs. He didn't tune but did make a pull on the dyno. 403/376 ??????????????? I asked him bout tuning my car but he wants me to buy a programmer. What the hell??? $400 programmer, $100 per hour to tune? Why does he want me to buy a programmer?

My brother had an 07 GT vert, then an 08 Shelby and now an 07 GT he tuned everyone of them; both shops he used had him buy a hand held tuner.

this is just off the top of my head there may be more
The 5.3 DOD Ls4's have 243's?? I've worked on a few impala ss's and GXP's but never paid any attention to the casting numbers.

They probably don't have a tuning program for a GM vehicle, so they want you to buy a programmer that way they can kinda tune the car. Find a shop that does GM tuning - they should have a program like HPTuners or EFILive.

PS: Don't buy the handheld either. It's a waste of money.

the 241s were for 01 models so some of the later 00s had them.
    `97-98 = 806 (perimeter bolt covers)
    `99-00 = 853
    `01-04 = 241

No real significant difference in airflow between any of them.
