    Torquer 3 dyno results...

Car getting tuned today. Had the guy call me after first pull to let me know what it put down initially. 365... seemed low to me but the guy said they didn't go far because it was running lean. I really expect 390 or more after they finish. Anything less would be uncivilized. Will the 4.10's hurt my numbers? Car is 02 m6 with basic bolt-ons & cam, 231/234 .648/.598 111 lsa with 2* advance ground in.

Had better be around 425/400 but I don't see the rest of the mods? Headers, UD pulley, intake? With headers,LS6 intake,UD pulley and 241 heads that cam is generally around the numbers above. Dynos can vary as we know though!

No ud pulley. I was hoping for 400. I've heard that the wrong pinion angle could cause lower numbers. The bad thing is its on a dyno jet
Wtf? Shoulda went big on the cam or went home

Seems a bit low, do you have stock injectors?

The pull was only to 4 grand when it made 365. They were suppose to make two more pulls before the end of the day and finish tomorrow. We'll see what happens. Going to pick it up at 2. I'll post from my phone and let you guys know the final numbers. It made 336/346 with my bolt-ons. I have the LS6 intake, SLP MAF, SLP CAI package, BBK headers with no emission provisions, no cats, no muffler. MSD wires with new AC Delco Iridium plugs. 4.10 gears in the 10 bolt. LS6 ported oil pump, LS2 timing package, PRC .675 springs, 7.425 push-rods, and the Torquer 3. If that ain't good for a 11 second ride, I need to sell my car. It's also an M6 with forged internals, new hydraulics, etc. Now I'm ramblin cuz I'm pissed! lol

You dynoed 381 after tune with a FAST intake? That seems low as well....

Why do you say the Dyno Jet was a bad thing? Sounds like the numbers are really important to you, therefore you WANT to be on a EgoJet, I mean DynoJet! They almost always give higher numbers.

You went plenty big on the cam. You need to get the dyno sheet and look at the power under the curve. Unless this is only a track car, absolute peak RPM HP numbers are not as important for a fun, strong running car.

Those injectors are probably at least on the verge (probably slightly over) the 80% injector duty cycle. There's really no reason a competent tuner wouldn't be able to go past 4000 RPM, at least immediately after the first preliminary pull. Ideally, the tuner would have enough experience to put a decent enough baseline file in there to go past 4000 RPM.

4.10 gears wont really show on the dyno, maybe slightly. The rearend wont start swallowing numbers until you go to a larger unit, ie 9", 12 bolt or Dana 60. I suggest after you get your numbers you go straight to the track and make 4-5 pass's, then use those times and forget all about your dyno numbers as they are truly crap in the grand scheme of things anyways

    Good luck

After cam install, I could tell there was more power there, just not sure how much more to look for after the tune. Maybe I have my sights set too high. I just wanna really feel a big difference and don't think I've felt it yet. I contemplated on doing heads when I did the cam, but backed out because I'm a tight wad. Best believe if I don't like the feel of the car tomorrow, I will invest in a procharger or a head package, or stroker. This is becoming an addiction and I can't cure the itch...She will be going to the track tomorrow night at 7!

I was miffed at the dyno jet because I thought they gave higher numbers. When I was told 365, I knew the accurate reading would be lower. The car is a track and weekend ride only. It no longer sees the rain and is tucked away nice and tight.

Awesome, you get a "attaboy" for that!

The car needs to be tuned in a bad way after any cam swap, and especially one that large. It will feel completely different then before the tune, of it should it the tuner is up to par.

Get a copy of the dyno sheet and I will get it up in the Camshaft Guide Sticky, never hurts for others to see more sheets. Also, we will get dyno times to post by that same graph! That would be kinda neat.

If you are still on the factory crap heads, there ya go! You at least need 241s to make some power. If they are the early 98-00 heads (forgot #) you won't hit 400. I would slap a set of 243s on and call it good.
