Welcome, you will need supporting mods before the cam, atleast headers to help it move air.
LS6 intake,B&M short shift, Pacesetter ceramic lt, ory, umi subframe connectors, umi lca, slp lid, tr 230 cam, comp 918 springs, centerforce dual friction clutch, Frost tune.

There are many ways to make power if you don't have smog go as big as you want, or if you have smog limits I have seen cams w/ stock 243's making over 400rwhp w/ stock manifolds.

If you intend to get a decent sized cam you're going to have to stall it.

do i need headers or is straight pipes to a cat black good enough?
just a stall and dual valve springs ?
what stall would is suggested for mostly street driving some drag ?
i am way to new at this sorry for all the questions but i would really appreciate your help

You don't do a cam before headers. Get some long tubes first. Then, go to Texas Speeds site and see if they offer a cam+install kit. Should come with everything you need. Cam, valve springs, pushrods, water pump/timing cover gaskets, crank pulley bolt, etc.

Read the sitcky's in the internal section and the transmission section.
You need pushrods, valvesprings, lifters, oil pump (not really but they do wear out), timing cover gasket, timing chain, etc.
Our stalls lock up so city mpg suffers but you will retain most of your highway mpgs 3200-4000 depending on your cam.
Since you are new to this I would suggest talking to a cam manufacturer exactly where you want the powerband to be.

On the stall, anywhere from 3,600-4,00. You don't need new lifters or the timing chain/oil pump. If your car is getting on in miles, maybe the chain and pump.

do the stall and a ls6 intake first .do the cam and headers at the same time so you any have to tune it once. consider a mail order tune by Frost.
