O yes for sure, you will need to tap a altenator braket though on the block, cause they are on oppisite sides from the ls1 to the lq9....

To my understanding the LQ9 alternator bracket only has 2 pre-drilled holes and the LS1 block has 3 so i guess i could tap a 3rd hole on the LQ9 bracket and should have no problem...

I'm seriously considering in the near future (about 3 years) getting a LQ9 6.0 iron block out of a truck for like $200 and starting from scratch--boring it to ATLEAST a 408, maybe even bigger. I think max is like 446 or somthing like that.......wouldnt go that far though!

4?? stroker + all forged internals+the right h/c combo+fast 90 intake+lower compression and turbo should = about $14k and how much hp? With the forged internals you could also dump about 200+ shot of giggle juice on it.....

that should hit atleast 600 or so all motor no turbo? 700 with turbo, and and 900 with juice? am I even close on those estimates?

and with somthing like that, would gas milage with a 6spd still get over 20mpg?

upwards of 10.5:1 and your into race fuel and/or retarded timing

maybe on an old cast iron headed SBC, I tune 11.5:1 cars right regularly on pump gas though. The 2 less peak degrees they get off of race gas is meaningless; it's almost always worth as little as 5-8 HP which is peanuts against what is gained from a full point of SCR over stock.

Remember im going to supercharge it next year also so i was figuring 9.5:1 then add the blower but i see where your going with the gasoline/race fuel cut off point.... Anything is possible when tuned right!

yeah 9.5:1 works well with a SC. I run 8.5:1 with my turbo, but I run 17psi on pump gas and meth too.

How many PSI do you think i could push outta 9.5:1 with the D1SC serp kit???? I was thinking about 14-16 (700-800RWHP about) without getting into too much trouble....

How many PSI is irrelevant; it's just a measure of restriction to the air, CFM matters. 14-16 range will be getting close to max speed to spin the blower to on an engine that size. That's why I said if you want more later, go F1 in the beginning when it's affordable.
