I don't see the MS3 passing in Cali, you should need MUCH less duration to pass

Bring it to Texas and register it here, and you will be fine...

I was considering the Magic Stick 3 but being an amature at looking for cams I wanted peak #'s you could say. I wanted the T-rex because of hp #'s but ended up going with the G5x4 cam because LG said it would perform very well on the street. It does work really well. I only dynoed at 412rwhp though with other mods.
DOES anyone know the lift specs on the MS4

Don't make the mistake and look at peak #'s.... look at under the curve numbers, that is where most of your running is gonna be. a cam putting out less peak but good under the curve can tear up a cam that has a high peak but nothing under the curve.

I can't imagine the MS4, at a GTG the other day I heard some more of the MS3 and I seriously think anything more than that shouldn't be daily driven.

I gained 62 rwhp with my Magic Stick v3 through a Moser 9" over my stock cam through 10 bolt numbers. Went from 339 rwhp to 401 rwhp, so I'd say it should be very possible with the new Magic Stick v4.

Someone over on ls1tech mentioned the MS4 is pretty much that same as cam that is already out there... they just put a different name on it, but i'm not sure which cam it is... unless that person was referring to one of the custom grind cams like ls1joe's that came out recently.

on another note, cam's lately have really gotten crazy with the availability of LSK and XE-R lobes i've been seeing cam only cars dyno-ing 470+ hp. I coulda sworn ls1joe's broke 500rwhp cam only and just recently i seen a thread from a gto forums about a cam that makes 470+ rwhp. You can get pretty crazy with the custom grind cams now if u know what to ask for

not saying it won't just not the way they market it.

The MS4 camshaft is the result of extensive engine dyno testing & research! Engine dyno results have shown over 80 horsepower gains with no other changes on a stock 01 engine!!
the motor in that video isn't stock. stock would be putting it in my 00 formula. motor is stock from TB to exhaust manifolds. that is a stock engine. not one with headers, FAST 90/90, etc... now, valve springs i would allow as you would have to have them.

Just looked at the picture on TSP's website. I see what you mean, and agree. That engine isn't completely stock. People who are still running stock manifolds, etc. don't need to be installing this cam in the first place. Anybody who is planning on running a cam of this size should have full engine bolt-ons or close to it.

then again, stock engine can be open to interpretation. the basic long block is stock. just has all the bolt ons. to me stock engine is how it left the factory all assembled.

A stock engine is an engine with stock internals. A header is a bolt on. A tb is a bolt on. It bolts on to a stock engine.
