    1999 Chevy Camaro z28

    Swapping heads

    Guys have a noob question i wanna swap from ls1 head dont know the casting numbers to 243 what do i need to change. and will the headers from the ls1 heads work on the 243s??

    Gaskets and head bolts are a must to swap heads.

    I would suggest a top end gasket set because you'll need more than just head gaskets and bolts..

    You should do pushrods also Top end gasket kit, Lifters, Lifter trays, pushrods, valvesprings and heads. Headers will fit so you will be good there

    I agree with him. That is what i did with my first ls, make sure you shop for your parts and try to use gm mls head gaskets, they are well worth the money if you ever have to pull the head again.
