And like SSwt00ss said, I'd talk to PatrickG IF you get one from Thunder Racing. I'd talk to Kip at Cam Motion first and foremost. There was actually a article on them in one of the Super Chevy magazines a few months back.
Thanks a whole bunch, I'll ask some more questions once i get a cam picked out, if anyone else has info on something above feel free to give your 2c

Before who will help you? Alot of those depend on what your gonna do. Valve size depends on what heads you choose, bore will stay the same I'm guessing since your just doing the top end (3.90), static compression stock is 10.1:1, but again, if you change the heads, that'll change. I'd probably shoot for somewhere around 11.5-12.0:1. That'll let you run pump gas (premium only), granted you have a good tune. I've seen even higher running on pump gas (12.5:1).

if you fill out a form he has linked in his SIG, he will custom spec a cam for you. it costs like $20 but then that is taken off the price of the cam if you order it through TR...

best advice for the cam so far.... patG or predZ, either one will set you up.. and will be well worth the extra 20 bucks.. when talking heads cam and so on 20ish dollars is pocket change...

ms3 is a very good off the shelf cam.. f14.. torqer 3.. g5x3.. all those are about the same..

i absolutely love my ms4.. perfect street manners, awesome power in high rpms and under the curve.. but this cuts down on your options as far as heads..... again though if i could do it over again, i would go to PatG and get him to custom spec me a cam....

awesome build for the money.... ls6 or 5.3 heads.. ms3 cam.. 3500 or 4000 stall (preferably 4000).. 373s or 410s.. LT's.. ported 90/90.. you will make awesome power, and that is a cheap build... itd be good for low 11s..

I'd really have to disagree. In my opinion, theres none better than Cam Motion. If you think about it, they must sell quite a few cams to even keep the doors open. Not to many shops specialize in something like cams. Maybe a whole motor and whatnot, but just cams isn't commmon. If you look, you see quite a bit of them for sale on Tech. There pretty popular.

For the bellows, know that the SLP piece will not fit the 90mm. I have one and had to notch it and put it in warm water to make it fit.

The Kooks headers are awesome, I'm very happy with mine.

You mentioned a stroker build, will you plan on increasing the bore size too?

5.3 heads are cheap and will give you higher compression.

By the way, I'm go with DHM cutouts instead, they have a 4 year warranty, QTP has no warrranty you could get screwed.
FAST 90/90, SLP Lid, Kooks JetHot Coated LT's, American Racing Y-Pipe+Magnaflow Cats, DHM Electric Cutout, Flowmaster American Thunder Catback, HP Tuners Software, 343 rwhp.

My smooth is the Fernco mod...
Love my kooks too, debated against the stroker kit
I'm gonna go with the 5.7 heads and Qtp ory w/cutouts is already on

honestly man, i dont know what you want your car for.. track/street.. both? care about gas mileage, you want a hard hitting cam.. or something more subtle.. low powerband, high powerband.. you want 373s/410s.. stall size, certain size you dont want to go over.. you do more roll racing or from a dead stop.. how much you looking to spend on heads without springs or anything..

tell me that, and ill give you my opinion on what i would do in your shoes.
