Stuck Lifter
My Camaro started making an awful valve train ticking and i thought i had bent a valve or something cause the rockers where within specs. So i got the head off and i figured i would change the lifters while i had them off and i guess one of my liffters had spun or something and that it wasnt a valve.
Any ideas on how to get it out?

We tried pliers and a magnet but it still wont come out. We think its pin is keeping it from coming out.

That's what I was thinking too... Let it fall down through. The lifter bore might be shot, but lets hope not... If you hang the motor by the shock towers, you can drop the K-member down enough to pull the oil pan. It will hang from the front shocks. 6 bolts, and pop off the steering linkage to the rack, which is one 10mm bolt I think.

They have a motor support that does this, but I put blocks of wood on the shock towers, then a steel square pipe across on top of the wood. ( like a HD strut tower brace ) pull the motor mount bolts. Jack up the motor some with a floor jack. Chain it up to the brace to hang it when you lower the jack. Then you can lower the K-member !!!
I knew I should have taken pics !!! LOL !!!
If I don't have it, I make it !!! LOL

your going to have to find a machine shop in your area that can do it. since you have it out it might not be a bad time to do a cam swap. hmmmmmmm..........

I would think it depends on how bad it is. If its too bad, then there is no way of repairing it probably. Nice, great condition used cams go for 250-300 often.
