    Stock ls1 head vs 5.3

Okay I am wondering. Does a 5.3 head flow better then the head I already have on my car its a 98 Z-28. I plan on gettting a set of heads that came off a truck that is ported and wanted to know would it be worth the swap. Also what will be a good cam I want to spray 100- 150 shot wet. Ima thinking I can go ten's easy with all the bolton's and the head & cam swap.

5.3 heads when ported and milled flow good and bump compression. I think heads and cam and spray will get you there. Just have to have correct suspension, tires and size, a 12 bolt or 9 inch with proper gears and the list goes on. For

do you plan on running high octane unleaded with the nos ?you don't want to much compression only running pump gas when spraying.

Have you guys seen some good dyno & 1/4 mile times with the 5.3 heads and a cam on nos and motor. What's the best you have seen with a bolt-on car with just cam and cam & nos stock heads and bottem end.

Bills98TA on here ran 10.81 with a 1.4 60' this past weekend and he is still working on his tune......24x/ 25x cam 5.3 heads 14:1 commpression and a 150 shot through an a4, 4:10 moser 9" rear and drag radials.......but he has all the suspension goodies and uses his wheelie bar when he launches

I just can remeber the exact size the cam is, its huge for a stock cube ls1. 259/252 .607 lift 112 lsa (i just went back and checked on the size)
he is running domed pistons and a 4,600 stall.....drag only car, its not driven on the street......runs 114 unleaded

Well that helps I knew it had to be on race fuel with that compression.
