At Borders Book store they carry a book entitled ls1/ls6 and according to this book General Motors states that the stock crank and stock rods are good to 550hp. Does not specifi torque.

Actually I retrack my previous statement, after going back and reading the book titled LS1/LS6 Performance written by Christopher P. Endres and I quote "the cast iron stock crankshaftis a very sturdy piece. It has proven reliable well past 600 hp." So, there is your awnser and he states that the stock connecting rods are durable past 500hp but not past 550hp.
