Starting

when my lt1 engine is cold it doesnt want to start at first. i can go to crank it an hold the key down but it will just sit there an turn over. but when i let off an turn the key again it cranks right up. it cranks right up when its warm. Whats the problem?

when was the last time u changed the fuel filter ? if u mean cold like its snowing cold . . . just an educated guess but when the battery is cold it puts out a little less power- less voltage to the fuel pump. next time try turning the key on and off a few times to prime it a little better then see how fast it starts. if after priming it a few times it cranks right up start with a fuel filter. there are many smarter guys than I on this forum maybe they will chime in.
