stage 2.5 5.3L heads and TV2 cam

Has anyone on here ran this combo and if so did you have any problems with the higher compression? wondering if pump gas is ok for this combo (93 near me)? I also understand that a tune would be a must after this so all timing and fuel adjustments would be made then. Just curious to hear any real world reviews.

I ran this exact combo before I threw a rod due to an unrelated issue. My heads were milled (to reduce the combustion chamber size) and my compression was just shy of 12:1. I'm 100% confident you'll be fine with non-milled heads.

What intake manifold and injectors are you going to be running?

i currently am putting ls6 and ported stock TB on for intake. just thinking into the future a little here. is an injector change needed? is there any stock injector that will swap over?

LS6 is a good choice, I was using a FAST90mm and Holley 90mm TB. You'll probably be around 425 rwhp with that setup.

I was using 38# injectors...not sure if you'll max out the stock injectors, but you'll definitely be close.

Ran it and liked it (GTP stg 2+ heads though).....until I ran a custom grind cam spec'd for my LS6 heads and realized I shorter myself the first time by not getting a proper matched combo tailored to my heads.
