    2001 formula firebird

    some info please!

    I really want a cam! my car is a dd but I do race at the track a lot so what would be a really good cam. I want to have a choppy idle and I want a lot of power gain! Also what are some mods that I need to do before I get a cam? I have a 2001 formula m6 pretty stock!

    Well if you go with a cam your gonna need some supporting mods to make the engine last with the new flow and high valve lift. I suggest a ported LS6 Oil Pump, 918 (or comparible) valve springs, aftermarket valve locks, and chromoly pushrods.

    I also suggest doing the the mods to support that new air flow ie. Long tubes, ORY, intake, lid, and definately top it all off with a good tune.

    The cam I show in my sig has good street drivability, great power and it has a great lope to it in my opinion.
