    smog; heads and cams

    I have plans on getting the Bassanni True duals, I believe they bolt right onto the stock cats. Along with that im also planning on upgrading my heads and cams. I live in Cali where emmission laws are just whack for us enthusiast. Well I was wondering with that set up will I still be smog legal. Any info is appreciated.

    Can't remember if Bassani kist relocate the cats. But if they do, and the place you take your car for smog does the visual check, therez a really good chance they'll fail you. I hate our smog restrictive rules!

    the bassani tru-duals bolt to factory 00-02 cats. the system is smog legal as it does not relocate the cats.

    pics of the system on my 2000

    heads, you can get factory ported heads from the sponsors. this way, when they visually check, they see the correct casting numbers on them.

    cams, i have read where people have passed with a 224/224 cam.

    if the stock cats are relocated then its a no go for smog.
