has anyone installed a b&m megashifter on a 98 ss? i am doing one this weekend . i have a spare console i suspect some fiberglass work. ps shifter is for auto trans . thanks jimjr

You'll have to post some pics & let us know how it turns out ! Still running the 4L60e ???
I'm thinking of going full manual valve body w/ a ratchet shifter ! Good Luck !!!

installed shifter last night semi pain in the but! took some pics will post soon center console needs some time consuming mods but i have all winter. still have to get some wiring hooked up, that should be ez. has same trany ordered a manual/auto valve body for a 700r4 that is supposed to work. this shirter is a ratchet shifter. more info as the project moves on, jim

Do you have to change the linkage on the tranny too ? Or just use the existing ?

yes you need to change the arm on the trans&the cable,it comes with the shifter. the arm may need to be modified because it now shifts hard out of park.i will let you know when i get to work on it again.....jim

Me and my dad just put one in on our '96 Z that we turned into a drag car and I was talking to him about maybe doing the same to my 02 Z! So how did yours turn out??
