    Scorpion Roller Rockers Help.

Does anyone have any experience with scorpion rockers? Did you have to replace your springs when you installed them?

You shouldn't need to replace them for rockers, but if they are stock, I would consider it. If you decide to turn up the rev limiter, the springs might float out the valves. I use the comp cam bee hive springs. I also have a big cam with 1.8 SLP rockers.

i just put scorpion 1.8 on my 2000 trans am and yes they float at 6000rpms so i replaced them with 1.7 and still float at 6000 but there ok up to 5500 rpms. i have a jet stage 2 module added that makes my auto transmission shift at 6000pms .should i get new springs or can i tune it to shift at 5500rpms with a hand held tunner?

more than likely your springs are causing the float. i cant answer the handheld tuner question...but hp tuners can adj your shift points

I thought everyone on here says you can't go any bigger than a 1.7 rocker when using a big cam?

you are still pushing the limits..and stressing the valve-train...6k is not very high ...and depending on your cam..you will shifting out of the meat of the powerband so you dont float...id get better springs and enjoy
