    If stock heads(no milling), and a stock base circle cam... you would need 7.4.

    But, COMP sells a push rod length checker to get an accurate reading.

    If all you are replacing is the pushrods/rockers, you do not need to compress the valve springs. The valve springs are held in place with their own keepers. You just remove the rocker arm nuts and remove the pushrods/rockers. With an otherwise stock engine. In the past when I've done this on non-adjustable valve trains, you just torque the rocker arm nut down to its' spec and your done, with your old pieces back on or the new ones.

    sweet, this just answered my question too lol. I was looking into doing some "simple" engine mod before diving into anything extreme like heads/cams lol. So just drop and go huh? sweet!
