    Question-Opinions? H/C

    I have a 2002 Z-28 M-6 mostly stock (lid,cat back). Getting LS-6 heads. What about a cam? Dont want anything too radical as Calif. emissions are a bear. Thinking a GMPP Hot Cam (219-228 112 lsa). Maybe bigger? A little lope is good, I just want to wake her up a little. Whaddayathink guys?

    My understanding is that the max you can safely go with California emissions, (and the max you can benefit from without headers) is 224 so the hot can is a little bit of a stretch. The hot cam is a fun choice and if I remember correctly you can run it with Z06 springs which makes the maintenance low. I would search though to see what results others have seen with CA emmissions.

    will that cam work on stock ls6 heads with stock yellow springs? what about push rods?

    never hurts to get hardened rods, people bend them with all stock motors so it should be done IMO
