    plenum chamber

    whilst fitting my engine back in my car i have broken of the three pronged plug at the back of the plenhum where the servo vacumm goes on will the car still run with out this and what is it
    an idle control valve maybe???

    are you talking about the MAP sensor on the very rear of the intake or the oil pressure sensor that threads into the back of the block next to the intake? Oil pressure sensor the car will run fine but won't show oil pressure, the map sensor will need to be fixed.

    i think it is the map sensor, can you get a replacement or is it molded into the air intake and you have to buy the whole thing, thanks for your help so far,
    the part i am talking about is fixed inti the plastic not into the block the same as the oil pressure switch
