A cam install will be about $1000 by itself if you do the install on your own.
    Valvesprings
    Oil pump
    Pushrods
    LS2 timing chain
    Cam

You won't pass emissions with that cam in Cali.

That cam is for a manual trans, but if it is a ls1 engine you must have pushrods and springs with any performance cam change. If your lifters are the ones where the wheel is free, you must change them too. Titanium retainers if you can afford them, they are worth the money.
My advice for you is to find a good set of ls6 heads for around 500-600$
and put them on with the cam, that would really let the air in the cylinder.
Look around for prices, you could get a head/cam swap for around a grand, but remember to change the standard pushrods, they ar worthless for any more lift, and/or rpm. Also remember to get a decent tune up, and if it is ok, you might even pass smog inspection.
It is more expensive to upgrade the ls1 heads than it is to buy used ls6 heads, that also have the lighter and better valves.
Hope you can use some of this advice.

I found this at ebay, you might find it interesting. It got all you need, besides
    gaskets and cam. http://cgi.ebay.com/COMP-CAM-GEN-3-L...QQcmdZViewItem
