One stripped thread during head install
Help, I have been working on this motor forever. It has been completely rebuilt, and I was nearly done. I am using ARP head studs. One of the very last studs pulled the threads right out of the block.
How in the heck do I fix this? It is so deep into the block before the threads even grab. I believe there is not even a tap for this thread size.

Hastings went throught the hole other side of this. He broke studs off in his. I would let an engine shop see about maybe drilling it out and putting in a helicoil in that one stud hole. Man that sucks. Hope it all works out. Helicoil is the only route I see you going.

Yeah but I could do without the drama of some of it. Good luck and maybe they can get you fixed. Keep us updated.
