    Oil Pressure

I have a 2000 WS6 Formula with less than 30K miles. Just recently the oil pressure has gone up and at idle is about 50 psi, 60 while I am driving, and probably 75 psi if I get on it. I also have a 99 30th with 46K miles and the oil pressure is about 40 psi while at idle and never goes above 60 psi even when I am driving it hard. Is this a normal range for the Formula because I am worried that maybe something clogged the oil pump and I don't want to damage the engine. Both engines make some clicking sounds when they first start but once the oil warms up it goes away. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Your oil pressure is fine. 10psi per 1k rpm is the rule of thumb. The clicking sound is piston slap. All Normal

Thanks for the advice guys. I checked it today and after it had warmed up I put it in neutral and it was 60 psi at idle and by 3500 RPM it was at 75 - 80 psi. That still seem okay because that is more than the 10 psi per 1000 RPM and it has me a little worried. Thanks for the help.

the clicking noise when it's cold is piston slap which is normal and harmless. What brand and weight of oil are you running in the car? That is a little high but not unheard of. I wouldn't worry about it to much but I would keep an eye on it.
