Guards Red- 1984 Porsche 944
Need some info on Camshafts from members.
Hello,
I am building an LS1 for my Porsche 944 and I need some advice when choosing the right cam for the job. I am going to be running LS6 heads that are ported and I will be using the sodium-filled valves as well. What I need to know is what cam will give me power from the mid to high range but not effect the lopeyness of the exhaust. I know i know, don't choose the cam just because of the sound but I really don't want my Porsche to sound like it has an American engine in it. I just want some suggestions about which direction I should be traveling when I start to rebuild my 1998 LS1 that will be here on Friday.
Thank you very much,

Look at around a 228/234 stay at or just under .600" lift so your valvesprings will last longer and if you want less lope go for a wider lsa around 116, if you want more lope go for an lsa around 112.
Since its a 98 go ahead and order a set of Kateck rod bolts (stock rod bolts are the weak point in your bottom end)
Also if you can upgrade to a 2000-2002 computer because they are more tunable with better fuel/spark maps
