Need to know how to get true lift with 1.6 rockers
I need someone to show me how to get the lift of a cam using a 1.6 rocker. just say you have a 480 lift cam and add a 1.6 rocker, how do you get the lift.someone told me before but i have forgetten. Help me someone please.

If your camshaft lobe really has .480" of lift you just multiply that by your rocker arm ratio.
.480 x 1.6 = 0.768

Just to clear some possible confusion. Most cams are advertised with the lift for the factory rocker arms. I.E. small block is 1.5 and gen III's 1.7 I assume if your asking about a 1.6 rocker you have a gen I or II small block so if the cam says .480 you first divide by 1.5 which would be .320 then multiplie by 1.6 which gives you .512 valve lift.

Sorry about the misled I have a small block 350. It have a comp cam 280 ,with a 480 max lift. Thanks for the infro. I abbed the 1.6 rockers 2years ago, but forgot what the lift was after adding them.

It's all good. More so browsers don't get confused. I love that comp 280 though, great cam, 230/230@ .050 and works on all good chevy heads without any mods! I've never tried running the 1.6 rockers with one though always wanted to.
