Need help LS1 cam
I am just getting into the inside of the LS1 in my Z. I got the longtube headers, corsa exhaust and wanting to start to go inside the block. What do you think would be the best cam for perfomance all around?

It pertains to your goals. Is this a street car, track car? Where do you want the power to be and how much at the wheels do you want?

also when you do the cam then you really should change the lifters, pushrods, valve spring(have to), oil pump, and timing chain. Also how many miles are on it, and a manifold would optimize the cam but, you don't have to-key words...

the best thing you can do is call some places thet sell cams like comp and texas speed and talk to the tech department and they will get you what you need.

Oh damn your just slicks and a cam or nitrous shot away then. I have seen the reverse split 230/224 get bottom 12's with great torque. The 228R is a great cam( sort of your biggest mild cam). Next time list all your mods I thought you had the 10 bolt and was going to wish you good luck

o ahahaha. ya idk i think if i took it down to the track again this time i would run 12.4 since i couldnt go as high up on the RPM for the take off. i was afraid of snapping the rear end. even though we had stablizers on the 10 bolt
