need help looking for a cam..HELP..
Im looking for a good mid range cam that will give good power and sounds real good and that will work with my stock ls1 heads please help if u can....any imput will help.....thanks

generally you want to stay under .600 lift.
i have a slighly smaller cam, 224/224 581/581 114 lsa,
long tube headers, ls6 intake, volant cai, hooker exhaust, sub frame connectors, 3000 stall and computer tuning.

Whats up BRO i only have a few mods i just got it like 5 months ago and it only had 8500 miles on it...its got SLP cat back,85mm high flow mass with no screen,SLP high flow lid,smooth bellow,and the Slp strut tower brace that was all on my car when i got it...but im trying to get 400rwhp so im ordering the JET HOT HEADERS AND OFF ROAD Y-PIPE AND THIS CAM HE TOLD ME ABOUT it sounds real good...

Stock springs will not support the lift. You could run Comp 918's they are rated at .600 lift or you can go with some Dual springs rated at .650 lift. I believe the stock Ls1 springs are rated at .500 or .550 cant remember. You need the hardened pushrods cause you dont want to bend one or at least you want it to be less likely anyway. Timing chain is weak on LS1 and oil pump can be junk too. I figure better safe than sorry. If your oil pressure is pretty good now then you may not need the oil pump but I would do the timing chain for sure.
