Maybe around a 220 cam. I would call one of the sponsors on here, tell them your car setup, and they'll grind an ideal cam for your setup. If your looking to purely make it accelerate faster, being an automatic a higher stall converter will help you alot more than any cam with the stock converter.

+1 on the converter.
try to decide on what cam you want first, then get a stall to complement it (most will say 3,000-3,600 for small cam).
trust me, install the converter first.
FYI, I'm running a 220/224 cam, and 3,800 stall. I wish I went with a bigger cam, a good tuner can make a 228 very drivable for you.
at a minimum you will need valve springs, pushrods, tranny cooler and a tune

I wouldn't bother putting anything smaller than a 224 cam. Personally I'd go 228 as the drivability will be the same.

228 is the smallest I would go really. Many disagree. 224 is no doubt a good cam, but with the tuning skills of so many out there, you can makea slightly larger cam idle normal, Decel normal, Cruise normal, and have more top end power while keeping low end. Gears really help out the low end when swapping cams.

If you have stock exhaust manifolds your limited especially with stock stall. 218/224 115 lsa 215/230 117lsa. Talk to frost if you are serious.

If you have stock exhaust manifolds you shouldn't be looking at cams imo.

I'm looking at upgrading to a 240/242 .600/.600 112lsa in a month or two and pulling out my 220/224 .570/.580 112lsa.....its about the size of a hot cam and bumps power up across the rpm range.....it would work with stock manifolds, but like said above, headers would give you better gains
