My oil Change light wont go off

hey guys this is the second time i changed my oil my self on my 2002 Camaro SS since i bought it and i just recently did an oil change and the oil change light comes on and stays on for 60 seconds when i start the car up. This didnt happen when i first changed the oil. I change it every 2400 miles.The fluid levels are good and i use royal purple oil and a K&N oil filter. Do i have to reset the code in the computer ??

ignition on press and hold the trip reset button or depress the accelerator thee times consecutively, then turn the ignition off.

thanks! do you recommend that i do this right now or do it the next time i change the oil?

If you just changed the oil go ahead and reset it. I hold the od reset button for something like 12 sec and it resets.

If you have a manual for the car, it's in there somewhere too. I still forget every time and have to look up how to turn the light off...

Mine does this too and wondered the same thing

turn the key but dont start it .. then hold the "trip reset" on the odometor till it goes away...

mine actually says "trip reset/oil reset"...
