Definitely labeling everything. Should be putting an order in for new rings while I'm in there and larger o.d. rod bearings for when I get them resized.
Also got a deal on a lightly used MSD mini starter so that's also getting thrown in there while I'm at it.

Got a start on the car today, most of the small stuff is taken care of. All I really got left for tomorrow is removal of the driveshaft, torque arm, and trans crossmember, and the body can get raised off the kmember.

Good job bro...looks like your moving in the right direction.....im assuming this isnt your first time rebuilding an engine etc...? If so, be real patient and make sure you have a separate daily driver ready to go in case the build takes longer than expected. .....

Are you planning on possibly doing a fast 92/92 set up as well? That would most likely add another 10 to 25 hp based on your recipe so far.......what exhaust set up do you plan on running?

I've rebuilt smaller engines and worked on several ls engines so I'm pretty confident in the rebuild. Also this car has been parked since April haha, I use my truck for daily transportation. Expecting this to be done sometime in the beginning/mid January depending on how many more parts I decide to throw at her, a fast 92/92 is one of those parts I want but ill see what happens in the next few weeks.

No updates as of yet but I should begin cleaning and tear down of the engine this weekend.

Also forgot to upload this one but here she was up in the air

Alex -- what has two posts, four arms and a pair of hydraulic cylinders? I'm not sure of the answer, but whatever it is you need one!

Keep up the pics on this project. These are my favorite kind of threads.

haha, a two past would have been nice but finding a place for one is the problem. Haha maybe next time ill transport the car to your place Jeff. As for the rear stands, they were about as low as they could go. once the rear wheels were on the ground the wheels were chocked and brake was on. everything actually came out really smooth. ill be transporting the motor back to my house and start digging into it.

I can't complain to much....with mine I used 4 jack stands to take care of the transmission. Then dropped the front and remove everything off the nose, got it to short block and used the engine hoist to pull the block out. I had to roll it half way out the garage to have enough room to pull the block. For anyone else it would not be an issue. My driveway descends at a 25* angle towards the street. So if it gets to far out I would need quite a few guys to push back up in the garage.

Since I have a new Kmember going in, lifting the body off was the easiest way to knock everything out.

Made some more progress this weekend. Managed to get the stock kmember disassembled and got the motor torn down to the rotating assembly. By the looks of it the monster is pretty well down to its last couple thousand miles, might end up picking up a new disk before reassembly. Besides that everything seemed to be in good shape, will have more this week as I finish tearing it all down.

Unfortunately not, maybe one day when it comes time for paint. One thing i would like to do that was meaning to ask you was the wire loom. Would love to get the cheap plastic stuff swapped out while the harness is out, think you could point me in the right direction?

Alex, who are you using for tuning?

I just checked Frost site, it looks like he'll be able to do one, as long as you give him all the details.

I need at least a basic tune to get it to a dyno shop.

Once the rebuild is complete i will most likely trailer it to the shop. If possible i'll see if my tuner can give me a basic tune to run it for a bit but i'll worry about that later on
