I myself did not care for Hagerty as they have a lot of rules such as NO driving other than pleasure such as car shows and car Cruze inns. No Work or errands. It was a agreed value what you feel your car is worth and they charge accordingly. Now I'm looking into Grundy as they have a policy with a little more freedom and also offer policy's for newer stuff, also seen a peice where the owner Jim Grundy said if you take your car to the drag strip or race track it is covered until you take the green and picks up again when you hit the return road or enter the pits. You have to check the other companies rules as to not violate there policy. I asked them if it was a nice day and I wanted to run to Home Depot for a can of spray paint could I take my car? They replied NO that is why you have a DD, same question on work same response NO use your DD. So just be sure to ask all questions so if anything should happen your not stuck with a wrecked car and insurance company not paying...

Apparently, Hagerty's quote software asks you how you use your car (including whether its a daily driver or if you drive it "to work occasionally" or "to work 20 or more times in a year") and then they calculate the premium based on that. Now, I'm talking about a 1998 Camaro (with a "modified" status). If used as a commuter (but not for errands), my premium was something like $3400 per year. It worked out to $291 per month. Using it only as a pleasure vehicle, it was $1800 per year, or about $150 per month.

It wasn't an issue with our car. If I recall, I think the only preclusion to coverage was having a nitrous system.

I don't even want to see the insurance quotes through them for what I have tied up into my car. Probably would be as much as my mortgage each month lol.

Well, I don't know. But when when I tried to enter a value for my car (I think I put in $15k), it refused that entry and said I must enter at least $30k. So, if I tell them that my car is worth that much, then they will fix it unless there is more than $30k worth of damage, at which point, it's totalled, and they write me a check for $30k. The rate that they gave me also took into account the following:

1 at-fault accident in my household in the last 3 years.
The Camaro to be used to commute to work every day.
And 8,000 miles per year of driving on that car.

The annual premium was $3492 ($291/month).

When I got rid of the daily commute, it dropped down to $1800.

well after 2 bearing/rod failures I think it's time to pick up a new oil pick up tube. I couldn't get the old one clean enough to trust it again.

It's always a great feeling to know your oil pump isn't filled with bearing trash or other metal debris....pulled it apart, just had to know before throwing it back in.

You almost have to with a NW102 throttle body.....

Also going with a SD tune so the tiny MAF is no longer a choke point.

the neck on that lid looks long.....is that camera angle or is it really longer? Oil pump looks good and make a note to yourself not to pinch that pick up tube o-ring. Doing it outside the car will be a huge plus when it comes to that kinda stuff. You just need to double check all of your i's and t's putting it back together so there's no self inflicted wounds. It's easy to miss something when you're dealing with so many little things.
