I just proposed to Ed that we create a new forum on the site entitled: "Scott and Jodi: Why our cars are not running now."

    Thoughts?

No doubt. He's blown up enough shit in his lifetime that he has been certified as a demolition expert in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I stop in every few weeks to see if it's up and running yet.......and every few weeks I leave disappointed. Looks like you're making progress though.

It all comes down to money....having it or not having it. Took me a few paydays to save up for a $850 crank. Between Oct-Dec it's a no-spending period for the car/me because that's when we do our Christmas shopping. Otherwise I usually have free reign.

I should have it back in the next week or by end of the month. It's Pre-race season here and he's swamped. I went to him because he has a solid rep and a friend had him do his 383.

I'm also switching the rod bolts over to ARP 2000.

I also hope to be having some side projects wrapped up that's been occupying a lot of free time. Almost finished all the work on the back porch that we extended last summer.

I know the feeling, fortunately I had a few guns that I could part with without diminishing my Zombie preparedness. Otherwise I have to save my overtime up and the wife isn't about to let the GTO sit idle while I sink a bunch so I kind of have to split stuff with her lol.

Having 2 total lost accidents in a 7 week period also hurts the funds too. That really sucked ass. Picked up a 05 Grand Prix for $2000 for my son, had the transmission rebuilt and it runs really well.

Depending on what you're insuring, I hear Hagerty is a good way to go with aging cars such as ours...

I'll look into them once I'm fully done with all the modding. I still have to install the WSQ hood , get paint, and also work on the interior. Particularly the rug. It's wore to shit has holes under the pedals. I'll have to rip it all up anyways to install the wire harness for the cut out. So many things to do, just chipping it off one thing at a time. It may look like last yr was a total waste of time & money but a lot got accomplished.

Transmission was rebuilt to a stage 2, Custom Fab 8.8 finish & installed and got to test it out on a couple of road test, so I know it will move the car.

Besides the engine setback has made me do what I should have done in the first place and stroke it like now.

Our Trans Am is insured with Hagerty, as well as the other play cars.

You tell them how much your car is worth (you must declare a minimum of $30K) and how you use it (pleasure only? Daily driver? Commuter to work, etc). And then the rest is like other insurance: how old are you? Who else drives your car, driving record, etc. Then they come up with a price for your policy.
