Getting the new ORY was a wise move. DSL went in with no issues.

DSL looks like it hangs low - is that a UMI piece?

I wonder if that UMI DSL will work with my Kooks TDs, they guarantee the BMR one will but it doesn't match the rest of my suspension.

It does look pretty low, how's the ground clearance with the car on the ground?

I've talked with BMR and asked them about making some gloss black pieces and they said they could. Would have to get in contact with them though.

Well in that case I'll ask them that.

Yes. Oddly yes looks low but it's the same as the transmission crossmember. It clears so I "should" be ok.

UMI has another DSL that works with Kooks.

This on clears SLP, FLP, Hooker, Pacesetters with Pacesetter y-pipe, Texas Speed y-pipe, Kooks Custom Headers and American Racing Headers.

Alright WTF now went for a test drive, gone through the gears got up to 4th around 3500-4000 rpm and this starts making noise. I traced it to the passenger head front. Like around #1 or #3 cylinder.

    That sounds bad.

Any chance your header gasket blew out and is leaking? If not, time to pull that cover.

I check ALL rockers and they all checked out at 22ftlbs. But I also have the Trunion upgrade. Didn't see any markings on the valve cover. Also oil looks good. no metal... The springs are BTR .660" dual springs, Could they be to high?

You think it's coil bind, or a PTV clearance problem?

Springs should have a spec for minimum compressed height - just have to roll the engine over by hand and take a measurement. If I chose the right spring on BTR's site, looks like coil bind happens at 1.070". Better double check that spec though.

The way it is rattling I would suspect a lifter or something broken.

Damn Scott that's no fun, hoping it's exhaust related. Doubt coil bind has anything to do with it but you never know. I'd check the exhaust gasket and run a compression test and go from there. Crossing my fingers for you it's nothing major.

Lol...I had brand new Lunati's. Two collapsed before we did any pulls. It happens. Pull BOTH covers (definately driver side first) and start checking. Hope it isn't anything too bad.

^^ Could you visually see a difference with the engine running in the rocker movement for the ones that had collapsed? It could be a failure or debris in the oil galley or lifter itself...
