You still have quite a bit of mods left before u think about a cam swap (if u wanna make the most of it) Open up the intake/exhaust and get a few suspension stuff. Is the car a DD? If so i would stay away from the MS4. Power kicks in late in the RMP range and pulls hard after. How often are u gonna take ur DD over 3.5k consistantly to get the power out of a cam. Thats only good for track/strip use. I would call Futral or Thunder racing.

you wouldn't want to run a cam like this with a turbo... you'd be pissing away your boost...

i know that it stands for lobe seperation( not trying to sound like a dick there ) im just wondering if ur lsa basically dictates ur amount of overlap?

    That isn't the only thing.
    By far.

Duration makes a pretty big difference in overlap as well.
Some of these newer lobes actually do great with boost and higher amounts of overlap.

sry if i ask alot of questions i just like to have a firm understanding of things before i let it go. but when u say the newer lobes actually do great with boost what do u mean by this? and if u mean what i think how is it done?

Valve events are more crisp...if that makes any sense.

The lobes are the 'style' of blank cam before it is ground to spec.
This can also effect piston-to-valve clearance.
I think manufacturer's may have moved on, but my cam is an XE-R lobe from Comp. Although it is a TSP grind.

Also, a higher LSA allows for more duration to clear as well.
This is why you don't see the MS4 on a 109-110 unless you flycut.

You can always call TSP and they can help you as well... I was thinking about the MS4 cam but I called them and they said I'd be better off using the MS3 with the nitrous app I was thinking about.... so they can offer a lot of help as well... just another avenue if you don't get the answers you're looking for here....
