Umm, I'm doing 400hp and 400 tq at the wheels with just cam and exhaust, with my crappy LS1 stock intake on there... Perhaps that ms3 of yours isn't so great?

Perhaps your dyno is extremely generous. What cam and what's it run at the track?

^^^ that dyno has to be high or he is in a six speed.... a cam only ms4 A4 puts down anywhere from 370 to 395..

Ms4 is a decent cam choice but ur def gonna need to spin those rpms to get use of it. Also the MS cams love the spray , now you only have to worry about ur rod bearings holding up. Also don't be too frustrated if the car won't idle after ur install I had a hell of a time getting mine to idle, I just sent my pcm to texas-speed for a mail order tune and it has ran great ever since.

yeah it keeps killing at red lights, and after i get it to idle it will flood out and back fire when i take off, untill it clears out then it will run fine, i am going to have a dyno tune tomorrow, how much did that tune cost you? it is going to cost $400 for my dyno tune

Man I never even bothered with a dyno tune, I sent my pcm to texas speed and had them do a mail order tune for $175 and it has been dead nuts so far and I can send it back free for a year. Some people drill the hole bigger in the TB blade and it will idle better. I also took my car to our corvette specialist shop and he said all he could maybe get a little better was some of the drivability otherwise he said they did a great job but I know that a dynotune can be much more accurate I guess take that as u will.

Im was having the same debate. The ms3 only makes bout 5whp less according to Texas speed. With the MS4 you HAVE to fly cut your pistons.

LMAO no u don't I have stock 241 heads with my ms4 and with the proper valve train upgrade you do NOT have to flycut. I talked with matt@TSP several times about my setup and I have ran the car quite a few times and theres no issues. The only fear I have is spinning a rod bearing b/c 98's have weaker rod bolts but so far so good.

lmao.. see other response.. you only have to flycut on certain heads... but ms4 with some nice 2.5 heads.... hehe...

i had my 6-speed with an ms3 and springs and pulley and fast 78 intake;no exhaust and dyno tuned at 397.11 horses and 370 torque: it cold and hot starts fine and never stalls or loads up and i drive it to and from work 5 days a week. I am so glad i went with tsp for my cam and i have no regrets.

I have some idle issues after a hot start, also mail order tune from tsp on a MS3. Doin the spray this week......

Other than that it seems to build power from 3k on. Love every minute of it.

    Neither!

How bout calling Cam Motion and getting a custom ground cam to exactly match your car, wants, and needs..........

I don't see the point in buying a off the shelf universal grind when you can get a custom one to YOUR car for right at about the same price.

I have been dealing with Cam Motion for years and had Awesome outcomes with every car we have put one in. And that is a vast spectrum from 500in. Caddy's to 632 Brodix aluminum big blocks.

I think they still have the world record for the fastest LS1 N/A car.

Anyways you can also ask Frost and he will tell you the same about Cam Motion's sticks.

I totally agree! There are also other company's out there that are great too. Comp, Pat G at Thunder Racing, etc, etc. Especially if you are going N/A than its even more important since every little bit counts. My stock block I stuffed a tr224 in it for low boost but had a custom cam ground by comp for my turbo 370 build.
