I like a solid 228R from TSP. Great powerband for street, and works well on the strip as well.

If nothing else, get something in the 234/234 range at around .600" lift. Little more than that TSP grind, but still not pushing the limits of the stock LS1 when it comes to piston-to-valve clearance.

THAT BEING SAID NO OFF THE SHELF CAM IS GOING TO BE THE BEST!!!

As I have posted many many times already if you want to most power you can get the cam needs to be custom ground for your application. Many times they will take 2 or 3 off the shelf grinds and make one cam out of the combo.

You need to know ALL your specs of YOUR car not anyone else's. Weight, gear, tire heighth,conv.,comp.,head flow, valve size, intent of motor, etc.

CamMotion has done alot of them for me. Crane also has spent thousands in R&D on LS cams in the past couple years.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

Yeah they are good guys over their. We have been dealing with them for years and had NO issues only power gains. Sometimes they are busy as hell and backed up 3-4 weeks but what can you do if you want the best.......

i agree with luos, bigger aint better. Yeah if u wanna make power after 3.5k, then get an ms4 or lg cam. Ull be limited in ur power band, but its gonna make some nasty #'s.

There are smaller cams that run 11.5's.

%100 TRUE. SLP's parts do not put out the power they advertise. especially their head and cam kits.

A couple of their cams make up the top of my own list for most-work-to-tune/should-have-gone-SD-up-front, but they always deliver where it counts. That's not to say that they fire off some hard core grinds, those 2 in particular were just hardcore setups, and they got cams that matched. I've never had any wait times for me myself or any of the people that I sent to them actually. Maybe 2 weeks. The cars that runs their cams that I have tuned all run really well at the track.
