LS2 heads

Okay I have a friends friend that's trying to sell me some LS2 heads that came off of an trailblazer ss for $500 ported and polished. The heads have 2,500 miles on them and the truck had a bent rod or something like that. Is this a good deal ? Thanks in advance everyone!

if the heads didn't get damaged it is if they're ported and polished. Stock 243 heads I see in the $400-$600 range so you're in that ballpark even for stock heads. Does he know who did the headwork and what they flow?

He will be doing the head work, he works at a machine shop. He has them just sitting, waiting for my call to start porting. But how they flow I have no clue, I can try to find out. (just incase its for my 02 z28 a4)
