    LS1 timing gear question

Does anyone know of a company that makes timing gears for the LS1, instead of a chain?

From what I've heard/read (please correct me if I'm wrong) timing gears make too much noise for a engine that uses computerized knock sensors. Makes sense though, even the quietest gear drives make some noise.

Yes look in Jegs and Summitt if. Not around one of my mags right know but i know they do make them. And as for the knock sensors you can adjust the sensitvity with ls1 edit or any of the tunning software.

It is made by Pete Jackson and is part number 782-350-91c. Hope this is what you are looking for. If you decide to go with a chain drive use a roll master and nothing else. I build ls1 for a living and it is all i use. Haven't used a gear drive but almost did in my ls1. Got any more questions feal free to pm or post and i will respond.
