ls1 and ls6 difference
i have a 2002 camaro z28 i know that i have a ls6 intake but i dont know how you can tell the difference between the blocks. i have heard that some came with the ls6 block is this true and is there a horsepower difference? thanks

Some 01-02 fbodys did come with the ls6 block, the only difference is that the ls6 block had two cast slots in each of the three center mains that replaced holes drilled through the bulkheads of earlier blocks for crankcase breathing. This block is considered a little stronger than previous ones but there is no horsepower difference in the block itself. The block number for the ls6 is 1256118 which will allow you to identify it.
