    Ls1/ls6

    sup guys quick question
friend of mine has an 01 vette (non z06)
i have a cam and intake from my 02 T/A
the cam and intake from my T/A are "ls6 style" correct? and the 01 vette's have the "ls1" style?

if i'm not mistaken, the manifold from my car flows better, and the cam has a slightly more aggressive profile?

    thanks guys

    Sadly now demodded :(

Both the Vette and your WS6 have the same intake manifold. They do not have the same cam.

What is different (if you don't have an LS6 "window" block with LS1 guts as ~25% of F-bodies got due to a shortage of LS1 blocks) is the block, heads (and valves), cam and exhaust system. Also (IIRC) the intake tract ahead of the throttle body. The Vette may have a 85mm MAF though. I'm not sure about that.

Better enough to make 385hp as an LS1 and 405 hp as an LS6. AFAIK, this is at the flywheel.

I don't have the cam's specs readily available but an internet search will point you in the right direction.

Now that I think of it the LS1 cam may be the same. Difference is in the intake tract and exhaust system.

That and the fact the Vette is lighter than an F-body.

Our cars are ~350hp at the flywheel.

Except for the Accessories Oilpan and the TB (ETC in the Vette) both your engines are the same. All 2001-2004 LS1's use the same Intake (LS6) and the same camshaft.
