LS1 LQ4/9 Interchangability?
I am thinking about swapping a LQ4/9 for my LS1.
Weight is not an issue, I am looking to make it into a 434ci.
I am wondering if the accessory brackets & drives timing chains etc will swap between the blocks.
Thanks
Craig

Sounds like a lot of stroke....
But yes, everything is interchangeable. Just need to drill a hole for the alternator.

I've been told people drill the extra hole for the altenator, but I didn't even do that on my GTO when I did the swap...but the bracets might be slightly different from the GTO to the F-body.
Also I've heard there is a year lq4/9 block that has a different tail on the crank....maybe someone can jump in and tell you.
I will say the difference from my ls1 to my 408 was night and day and you will love it!
