    LS1 Hotcam vs. LS6 cam

Which one will make more power? Which would have the flatter torque curve also? Does anyone have any dyno sheets and track times?

Hot cam will make more power down low, but the idle will be tough to tune.

thunder racing has some dyno charts of their cams so you can get an idea of different powerbands. there are cams out now that are much better than those. if you're going to go thru the work of putting a new one in, get the most out of it for your driving habbits. my 2 cents

LS6 cam is great with a charger or nitrous plus its cheap.
If you want torque get the GM ASA spec cam.

That cam will have a rough idle plus I don't think it will pass your local emissions in Cali twistedTA.

If your going to fork over $380+ not including springs and harden pushrods, MTI has a set of cams called their stealth series.

Its something like 220/220 with .581" lift at 114 or 116 LSA, it won't dish out 40 HP but your engine's vacuum, bearings, and everything else in your engine bay will thank you in the long run.

Just bought 04 Z06 cam/springs/rods...I have talked to some other guys that have used it on the street and they love it. By far not the biggest but from red light to light with a dry shot its tough to beat in street trim/gears. also not that the cam has a smaller .50 base circle than the stock LS1 so longer rods are recomended.

Yup, if you still need a little more HP, just install 1.8 or 1.85 roller rockers and it will still sound, feel, and drive like stock except for the extra horsepower.
