looking for help with choosing right heads to put on my ls1?????????? what castings to get an hand port? do ls2 heads bolt on to a 5.7???

black- '02 trans am ws6
LS2s used 243 heads which are LS6 heads. Those or the similar 799 castings would be the best set to go with if you plan to have a local shop work on them. You can always buy a CNC'd set from a shop as well.

Just break down a buy a new set of aftermarket heads. Will end up being cheaper in the end. I put a set of PRC 215's on my LS1, awesome heads. Professional port work is very expensive and you are stuck with the stock valve angle and combustion chamber. Save up for a set of heads that are already CNC ported, you won't be disappointed.....Just my 2 cents.
