    lq9?

Well this morning on my way to work a ran threw a huge puddle and hydrolocked the engine in my GTO.
Insurance is covering it under comp so I guess its time for the big buildup.
Look for a local LQ9 shortblock to build and drop in the goat.

Yup I just got it done last month

I pulled the intake off and dumped almost a gallon of water out of it.

Oil pan is shattered and I'm not sure how many rods went

Awesome Mark! Looks like you were spot on with your price! Did you check out some of those prices/shortblocks?

Hold on, I'm currently driving my TA down to Mark's neighborhood to find that 'puddle'. I need a new shortblock too!

I don't recommend the LQ9 build anymore...unless going with insane amounts of boost.

What is the insurance company going to give you??
    402 LS2.....

TSP puts a nice shortblock out. Like I told you last night, Sunset does their building if things are still the same. Did you check out HKE yet?

$5,099 I'm trying to keep the build around $4,000.
    $350 for oil pan(new price)
Looking for just bare block with bearings and rotating assy and plan to reuse my heads, cam, lifters, pushrods (if correct lenght) melling hv oil pump, double roller adjustable timing set

What would you recomend for my budget, looking for the most power for my money, but at the moment looking at cubes to get it, then I'll save up for the big great flowng heads/intake setup
Current cam is trickflow 238/242 .595/.595 112 lsa
Current heads are 241s ported, polished and milled .040"

Lol I understand, I can't wait to get home and crack a beer open!
Stock was ls1, calling TSP in the morning to talk to them, I'm not sure if their 408 is ls1 or ls2 based, but if its ls2 I can't get the adapt stuff to make it work

I've seen the "kits" for $200-300 to get it all hooked up
