Installed the Comp 275 this weekend!

Allright guys, I have some issues, unfortunately. One, didn't install the springs and Ti retainers because they were a BITCH. Two, couldn't find parts anywhere this weekend, needed a new timing cover seal and timing chain, not to mention it would have been a good idea to put new gaskets on the timing cover and water pump. Three, I broke some kind of sensor that is on the driver's side of the engine, it is black, hooks in the intake, and is in line with the fuel system somehow, and it draws vacuum from the intake, right behind the TB (What the hell is it, how much does it cost, and where do I get it?) Four, the idle is fucked up now, is all up and down. Should I attempt to fix this by drilling the hole in the TB, or just let the dyno shop do it when they tune it?

As far as the springs those need to go on there asap if the cam is over a 550 lift. The idle issue take off your T/b and there is a idle screw take it out and instal on the other side it will raise the idle. GMMG recommends this they did it to mine. The piece you broke I believe is mostly for the air pump or the egr can't remember which one. Most of them can be blocked off providing you don't have either one still installed on your car. I see you have a Shane T/b maybe he didn't flip the screw it raises the idle. Don't know for sure on that.

don't drill anything, work thru your problems one at a time fix all the little things, then get a dyno tune on the computer.

I didn't take it over 3000 rpm for my trip back home, about an hour and a half. I am going to have the springs installed at the dyno shop this week if I can, the sooner the better. Are you sure that is for the EGR? It seemed more like a fuel pressure regulator, seeing as how it only drew vacuum from the intake, and connected directly into the fuel lines.

That piece I broke was emissions equipment and is routed to the fuel canister, an EVAP module.

Dropped it off for the spring install and dyno tune yesterday evening, should have it tomorrow. Go Carolina Auto Masters! I will post the dyno graph afterwards!
