Not enough for the trouble. If you want a mild set up go at least with a 224 duration cam with the 5.3 heads and that should give you rwhp in the 400-410. With the LS6 you are looking at 350-380 if you have all other bolt ons. My .02

As long as you port the hell out of the 5.3 heads and have the big valves installed, the Z06 cam will be a great sleeper cam and go with 1.8 rockers. You will still have a decent idle with great torque. I tried one and was pleased with the results. If you go with an aggressive cam ( lopy ), you will need a higher stall converter. ( if an A4 )

i want some power gains...but nothing that will make drivabilty and MPG worse....i know the ls6 cam is going to give me some gains and it was designed for a car that can be daily driven....and i know the best thing for a NA motor is higher compression...and thats why using the 5.3 heads would make sence

Go with the Thunder Racings "Old Man" or "CheaTR" cam. They both will give you good power gains and your drivability will not suffer. The Cheatr giving you better gains of the 2.

But if you want if you don't want

    Don't change the cam.

Is like saying I want to eat Mc Donalds everyday, not go to the Gym and have a body like John Cena.

Tuning will help you keep the MPG loss at a minimum. But like I said when you factor the cost and labor (even if I do it myself) vs. gains, unless you go with a bigger cam I would not bother. My .02
